For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them.

Jeremiah 31:13

Jerusalem fell. The temple was destroyed, and Jeremiah wept over the ruins. And yet, in the middle of all that sorrow, the Lord spoke some of the most hopeful words in scripture: a new covenant, written in the heart, and a promise to turn mourning into joy. Whatever you are carrying this week, let these chapters remind you that the Lord’s mercies are new every morning.

This companion follows Jeremiah 31–33; 36–39; Lamentations 1; 3 for the week of October 26 – November 1, alongside your Come, Follow Me Old Testament study.
