Week 42: Perfect That Which Is Lacking in Your Faith
Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks.
1 Thessalonians 5:17–18
Paul had to leave the young Church in Thessalonica quickly, and he longed to see them again to “perfect that which is lacking in your faith.” He comforted them about loved ones who had died and about the Lord’s Second Coming: “so shall we ever be with the Lord.” And he gave simple counsel that still fits every day: “Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks.”
This companion follows 1 and 2 Thessalonians for the week of October 11 – 17, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
