Week 38: God Loveth a Cheerful Giver
For God loveth a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Paul invited the Corinthian Saints to give generously to the poor Saints in Jerusalem, as the Macedonians had given even out of deep poverty. He reminded them that Christ, “though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor.” Then Paul shared his own “thorn in the flesh.” He prayed three times for it to be removed, and the Lord answered, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”
This companion follows 2 Corinthians 8–13 for the week of September 13 – 19, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
