Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

In his second letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote of “the God of all comfort,” who comforts us so we can comfort others. He described being “troubled on every side, yet not distressed,” and called our trials a “light affliction, which is but for a moment.” And he pleaded with the Saints, as Christ’s ambassador: “Be ye reconciled to God.” In Christ, he taught, we can become new creatures.

This companion follows 2 Corinthians 1–7 for the week of September 6 – 12, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
