Week 35: Ye Are the Body of Christ
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Corinthians 13:13
Paul compared the Church to a body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of thee.” Every member, even the ones who seem weaker, is needed. Then he described the “more excellent way”: charity, which “suffereth long, and is kind… never faileth.” He also reminded the Saints of the sacrament and promised that God always makes a way to escape temptation.
This companion follows 1 Corinthians 8–13 for the week of August 23 – 29, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
