Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:21

In Romans 8, Paul wrote some of the most comforting words in scripture: the Spirit bears witness that we are children of God, all things work together for good to them that love God, and nothing can “separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Then he taught how to live it: be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and “overcome evil with good.”

This companion follows Romans 7–16 for the week of August 9 – 15, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
