For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.

Romans 1:16

Paul wrote to the Saints in Rome before he had ever visited them. He testified, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” He taught that all of us have sinned and that we are “justified freely by his grace,” and that through baptism we rise to “walk in newness of life.” This week, let these truths sink in.

This companion follows Romans 1–6 for the week of August 2 – 8, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
