Week 30: The Lord Had Called Us for to Preach the Gospel
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Acts 16:25
Paul followed a vision into Macedonia. By a riverside he taught Lydia, “whose heart the Lord opened.” In Philippi, he and Silas were beaten and locked in stocks, and at midnight they prayed and sang praises to God. In Athens he taught that “we are also his offspring.” This week, notice how Paul’s joy and faith did not depend on easy circumstances.
This companion follows Acts 16–21 for the week of July 19 – 25, alongside your Come, Follow Me New Testament study.
